HBO ‘The Sympathizer’ Speaking Roles Casting Call
The show is directed by Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden, The Little Drummer Girl).
The project is slated to shoot Nov 2022 – May 2023 in Los Angeles, CA and Asia.
We are currently seeking talent for the following roles. No prior acting experience necessary. Talent can be based anywhere in the United States. ROLE CATEGORIES:
Women 40s/50s: Commanding matriarch. Wealthy, graceful, Intelligent and pragmatic.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Please fill out the following form and submit videos + photos if you would like to be considered for this project!
1) INTERVIEW:
Please tape yourself answering the following questions honestly as yourself:
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
a) what’s your name
b) where are you based?
c) how tall are you?
-Please keep video 3 minutes or under.
-If you use your phone to record your interview, please make sure to shoot it HORIZONTALLY (not vertically).
-Please make sure to set up the camera so it is facing you (frame from chest up) and speak directly into it to tell your story.
2) PHOTOS
Please submit two non-professional photos – a full body shot and a close up. These can be as simple as phone pictures against a plain wall in a well lit area (by a window with natural light is always best).

We are currently casting real people in the San Francisco Bay Area to come and test the Dolby sound experience then be asked about their thoughts.
All ages, gender identities, sexualities, abilities, and cultural backgrounds are welcomed.
WHEN: September 23 + 24 (will be 4 hour commitment on 1 day)
WHERE: San Francisco (parking will be provided)
COMPENSATION: $350 per person
REQUIREMENTS: must be local to the SF Bay Area
USAGE: Still and video will be used for web and social for 2 years (non-exclusive, non-broadcast, non-print/billboard).

Rate – $20 per hour guarantee of 8 hour plus OT
Alcohol Brand Commercial Casting Call
We at DSCasting are working on an exciting video project for a major Alcohol Brand and we are looking for diverse and hip small-medium sized businesses (30-200 employees) who would love an amazing large scale happy hour event paid for and fully produced by the brand to bring the office back together!
This event will take place in the early evening after work and will last 2-3 hours max.
This business can be located in any major metro area. The business that is chosen will be given a free happy hour celebration and it will be filmed for a web+social media commercial. Ideally we’d love for this to be a surprise for most of the employees other than the decision makers!
DETAILS:
WHEN: If selected, the Filming Date will most likely be between October 3rd – 5th.
COMPENSATION: There will be a $2000 payment to whichever business is selected plus a free party and exposure for the business!
