CASTING CALL- TV SERIES

We are searching for deaf actors, hearing actors with sign language fluency & coda (children of deaf adults) actors for a number of paid roles in an upcoming network series shooting in South Yorkshire.

Brennan: deaf man. Playing age 30-65 years. Bsl/sse. Any region.

Michael: Young deaf man. Playing age 15-25 years. Bsl/sse/oral, Any region.

Naomi: deaf woman. Playing age 25-45 years. Bsl/sse/oral. Any region.

Tasha: Young deaf woman. Playing age 15-25 years. Bsl/sse/oral Any region.

Interpreters & codas (children of deaf adults): any gender. Any age. Must have fluency in bsl and spoken english. Experience of professional sign language interpreting is desirable but not essential. Any region.

Applicants must be based in the UK and be available from start February- end May 2024

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Love Never Dies’ is launching its international tour in China this autumn.  The year is 1907. It is 10 years after he disappears from the Paris opera house, the phantom has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak shows of coney island. In this new electrically-charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar. All that is missing is his love – Christine Daaé.

Christine is struggling in an ailing marriage with Raoul. She accepts an invitation to travel to new york and perform at a renowned opera house. In a final bid to win back her love, the phantom lures Christine, her husband, and their young son Gustave from Manhattan; to the glittering and glorious world of coney island, not knowing what is in store for them…

We are looking for: Gustave

• Playing age 10 years old, small and slight. He has a mysterious darker, mischievous quality.
• He needs a stunning pure vocal – boy soprano – a genuine chorister sound.
• We are looking for 6 boys to share the role, in two teams, on a schedule to be confirmed.
• For practical reasons, boys must live within one hour’s travel of central London. Please do not suggest children who live outside this area.

Auditions in London – Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th June 2023
Three children will be alternating in China for two months of performances. They will then return to the UK. New performers will join the tour every two months. 

Dates for the first cycle only:

• Rehearsals commence  28th august 2023
• Travel to China  3rd september 2023
• First performance  28th September 2023 in Shanghai

Contract end after two months – exact dates TBC.

• Real people rather than actors. We are looking for groups of two up to five (neighbours / family / friends / flatmates etc). Aged 18+

• £1,500 (which covers one day of filming, a wardrobe fitting a fee for appearing in the campaign

We’re casting actors for the next motion capture shoot for ‘Project Panda’. 

We’re looking for:

• Physically connected and versatile actors to perform specific physical characteristics and imitate different personalities from world famous sports.
• UK based actors only
• Males 5’10” – 6’2″
• Females 5’5″ – 5’10”
• Age 20’s-30’s
• Any ethnicity

We’re looking for an actor who can find the specific physical nuances of well-known athletes. They will be mimicking their walks, interactions with crowds and any signature moves. Our actor should be physical, versatile and truthful.

Actor B: MALE / Athletic Physique / A classic sports showman. Bravado, confidence and swagger.

Actor C: MALE / Muscular & Athletic / A powerful presence with grounding and gravitas. Purposeful, intense and focussed. Intimidating.

ACTOR E: MALE / Athletic physique / A classic Jock. Stocky but agile. Confidence and swagger. Great energy with intensity.

ACTOR F: FEMALE / Athletic physique / Femininity, bounce and energy. Still has athleticism. A crowd pleaser. Dance/ movement
experience required.

ACTOR G: FEMALE / Athletic & Muscular / Strong, tall, purposeful and imposing. A force to be reckoned with. Swagger and energy.
