Synopsis: When Marlena and her family flee the west coast to find sanctuary in the tidal waves of the Mid-Atlantic, an unexpected transformation begins after an encounter with her new neighbors.

Marlena Guzman (age 40s) – Hispanic, female, healthy, sunkissed. Outspoken, strong, yet personable. A loving mother to Olivia. A gardener at heart, loving her roses. Haunted and holds guilt from her past.

Laura Wovenicik (age 40s) – Open ethnicity, female, soft features.  Complete opposite of Marlena. Soft spoken. Very strong in her faith. Homemaker, neighborly,  mother of 7. Offers support to Marlena.

Benny Guzman (age 40s) – Open ethnicity, male, stoic, quiet. Feels like the “odd-ball” in the new neighborhood.  Sits back until enough is enough. (Rate: $150/day)

Greg Wovenicik (age 50s) –  Open ethnicity, male, “bald”, sunburnt head, physically fit, outspoken. Retired Military Vet, living the well deserved good life. The true “guy next door”, always helping out the neighbors. (Rate: $150/day)

 The role of Caroline will film for approximately 3 days TBD in early April

ALL TALENT MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED and will be required to do PCR Covid testing prior to working.

The setting of this documentary is the early-mid 90’s and will have sensitive material. Caroline will act in recreations of the director’s memories of her childhood friend.

FILMING will be taking place during the auditions. As this is a documentary film, there will always be an verité camera filming everything.  The auditions will be used as a scene in the documentary and all talent selected to come to the audition will be required to sign a release.
