Job Responsibilities:

Job Details: We are seeking talented individuals to fill various roles for four projects under the CFC Writers Lab Shorts program. The selected candidates will participate in the production of the short film titled “Homesick Home”.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the director and fellow cast members to bring the character of Sam to life.
• Engage in rehearsals (up to 4 hours) to familiarize yourself with the script and develop a deep understanding of the character’s motivations and emotions.
• Bring authenticity and depth to the character, ensuring a compelling and relatable portrayal on screen.

Requirements:

• SAM [LEAD]:
  • Gender: Female
  • Age Range: 24-29
  • Ethnicity: Vietnamese
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; able to hold casual conversations in Vietnamese, though may struggle with complex ideas and vocabulary.
  • Background: Canadian, born and raised in Vietnam, but moved to Canada as a young teen and has not returned in many years.

Shooting Locations: Toronto

Outside Dates: November 11th – 19th, 2023
