Major Chicago Talent Agency is Moving to Atlanta

Gill Hayes Talent agency is expanding their offices to Atlanta, Georgia.

Georgia’s film industry is booming which means more and more TV shows and movies are filming in Atlanta, Savannah and surrounding cities. With the influx of new job opportunities comes producers, actors, crew members and talent agencies interested in tapping into the film industry. Now, one major Chicago talent agency is moving to the ATL  in order to bring new talent to the silver screen.

According to Reel Chicago, Gill Hayes Talent agency is expanding to Atlanta, with Patti K. Gill, partner with Michelle Hayes, in early spring. Gill Hayes Talent Agency is currently located in the world-famous Chicago Cinespace Studios, and will now be located in within Roger Bobb’s Bobbcat Productions, at 400 Forrest St. in the congenial Berkley Park area in Atlanta, according to reports.

Gill Hayes Talent agency has a talent roster of 800, many of Gill Hayes actors currently appear in all four network TV shows filming in Chicago including Empire, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med.

Gill Hayes Talent Agency reports that they will be the only African-American owned and operated SAG AFTRA franchised agency in Atlanta, the home of Tyler Perry Studios, several major movie studios, and the unofficial home of Marvel movies.

The expansion will put additional pressure on the talent agency. however, the talent agency reports that they will split their time between both offices.

This news should not come as a surprise as Georgia is the third largest film market in the world. IN fact, Atlanta has over 30 movies and TV shows in production. In 2015, media and entertainment generated an economic impact of $6 billion for the state.
