VH1 Pulls the Plug on ‘Best Week Ever’

Date:

VH1 has cancelled Best Week Ever, the weekly pop culture commentary series.

The VH1 network released a statement regarding the series:

Best Week Ever was a pioneer in pop culture commentary on television when it launched in 2004, delivering its signature blend of comedy and tongue-in-cheek opinions on the most entertaining news and pop culture stories of the previous seven days.”

“The series also served as a national launching pad for many talented creatives and comedians. We thank them, and the viewers who tuned in each week.”

According to Deadline, Best Week Ever first aired in 2004 as a series for comedians to comment on what happened in pop culture. The series changed format four years later when Paul F. Tompkins led the series. The show would later get cancelled in 2010 but brought back two years later and airing in January 2013.

Several popular comedians were featured on the show giving a boost to their careers. Such comedians include Rachael Harris, Rob Huebel, Patton Oswalt, Nick Kroll, Pete Holmes, Big Bang Theory‘s Melissa Rauch, Mo Rocca, Jessica St. Clair, Judah Friedlander and Paul Scheer.
