The Netflix drama about how a teen’s suicide affects her school and her hometown is stirring controversy around the nation. And in the weeks since the premiere, viewers have taken the Internet by storm.
The show has been praised for its depiction of teenage life and its unique dark theme while also being criticized for depicting acts of suicide. Essentially, everybody has an opinion on the TV series, but not everyone shares the opinion that everyone should watch. For example, ‘Stranger Things’ star Shannon Purser took to Twitter to warn people who are suffering from depression to avoid the show.
