Looking for a speaking role?
Tyler Perry has a history of upgrading background extras to speaking roles. But, today one background actor was upgraded to a speaking role on the set of Stephen King’s new TV series Mr. Mercedes.
Tona B. Dahlquist Casting posted the news on Facebook saying, “Ringing the UPGRADE BELL! Congrats to Ben P. for getting upgraded today from Extra to Speaking Role on Mr. Mercedes!”
Mr. Mercedes, based on Stephen King’s 2014 book of the same name, follows a demented killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
