eHarmony Date Goes Wrong! Woman Raped at Gunpoint in NYC

Date:

Young woman was raped by her eHarmony date in New York City.

While some celebrities choose secret apps to find love, many regular people choose websites to find their soul mate. But, according to a recent report, one date turned deadly after two people met on eHarmony.

According to the NYPost, a woman was raped at gunpoint by eHarmony date and the assailant is currently on the run. Cops are currently searching for the eHarmony match from hell, who met a “date” at the New York City Port Authority Bus Terminal and forced her into a secluded area and raped her at gun point.

The 28-year-old victim told police she met a man named “Jeffrey Kent” on eHarmony. But, police are not sure if that is his real name. The NYPost reports that she agreed to meet with the man in New York City on Monday after traveling into the city. The two met at the agreed-upon spot inside the Port Authority, but he did not make a great first impression and immediately suggested they go to a motel. That’s when she refused and he pointed a gun into her back.

From NYPost:

He forced her downstairs into the maze of underground concrete spaces and tunnels that extends west of the Port Authority, sources said.

She told police that she was raped inside an area with what looked like an abandoned train track running through it, sources said.

The woman could not easily pinpoint where she’d been taken, one source said.

“She’s from out of town and could only say that she saw train tracks,” the source told The Post.

After the rape, the women wandered into New York City. She would later run into a fire truck and ask for help. Police are now getting a warrant to get his records from eHarmony. In addition, they are searching for anyone else who may have witnessed or have been affected by this “Jeffrey Kent”.

eHarmony is one of several online dating sites. In an era where night clubs are falling in attendance, people are choosing dating sites in order to find love.
