Star Wars have something else to cheer about.
Besides the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII, Disney plans on creating a new spinoff on Boba Fett.
Everybody’s favorite bounty hunter is getting his own movie. Ever since Disney bought out Star Wars, one of the biggest news stories of 2013.
According to The Inquisitor, the Boba Fett movie will most likely won’t be an origin story but a coming of age feature film that focuses on the ruthless and persistent bounty hunter. Technically, Attack of the Clones was Boba Fett’s origin, showing us a young boy who witnesses his father being killed by a Jedi.
Metalocalypse director John Schnepp confirmed the rumor of a Boba Fett movie in a press interview. Speaking about the spinoff movies, he said, “One of them is Boba Fett. It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.”
Lawrence Kasdan wrote The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, so the new sequel may just be really good.
There has not been an official casting notice on the upcoming Star Wars films, but we will keep you updated on any and future casting call notices.
Like always, Disney is keeping the details surrounding the project secret. We will keep you updated on any news updates as soon as they become available.
