‘Star Wars Episode 7’: Carrie Fisher Had to Lose 35 Pounds to Return for the Sequel

Star Wars’ Princess Leia had to lose 35 pounds to return in the Star Wars Episode 7 sequel.

The original Princess Leia revealed that she was asked to lose weight for her upcoming role, saying “they hired me minus 35 pounds.”

Carrie Fisher, who originally played the leading lady in Star Wars recently appeared at a party on Wednesday and according to Huffington Post she was very tight lipped about the upcoming Episode 7.

According to The Huffington Post, the 57 year old actress said she would get “in trouble” for talking about the new movie.

Production started for the movie yesterday and is directed by J.J. Abrams. Fisher did comment and say that it is “trippy” to make a sequel to the original 35 years later. The last Star Wars movie was 1983’s “Return of the Jedi”.
