Colin Kaepernick‘s collusion lawsuit against the National Football League was reportedly withdrawn on Friday, lugging a settlement was reached between the football league and the quarterback who claimed NFL teams blackballed him out of the league.
Yahoo Sports reported on Friday Kaepernick’s collusion lawsuit was withdrawn, noting the football quarterback had previously noted he would not do that unless the two parties reached a settlement.
Shortly after the report, the legal team representing Kaepernick and Eric Reid released a statement saying a settlement had been reached with a confidentiality agreement. The announcement likely means that Kaepernick and Reid will get a substantial bit of money in exchange for them dropping their case. Kaepernick has been out of the league for two years now after starting a nonviolent protest against police brutality during the 2016 season. The drama from that protest has affected the league, and Kaepernick has not been able to find a job in the NFL since then.
It is important to note; this news comes the same day as Kaepernick wanted as much as $20 million to play in the startup football league the AAF.
