The Sopranos prequel movie is in development and coming soon.
New Line is working on a movie prequel to HBO’s 1999 hit The Sopranos series by David Chase. The film takes place in the 1960s during the Newark riots and centers on the tensions between African Americans and Italians during those times. A few characters from the series are set to appear in the movie, but details surrounding the movie have not been released.
“David is a masterful storyteller and we, along with our colleagues at HBO, are thrilled that he has decided to revisit and enlarge, the ‘Soprano’ universe in a feature film,” Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich told Deadline. Are you going to audition for a role in the new Sopranos movie?
