Donald Glover and Rihanna are starring in a movie together.
Georgia-filmed Atlanta is one of the most popular shows on television. It has cemented Donald Glover’s career in the entertainment industry even as the artist branches out into different forms of media including music, ie. This is America.
Now, Glover is partnering with R&B/pop sensation Rihanna for a new movie. According to reports, Donald Glover and Rihanna are co-starring in a new movie directed by Donald Glover’s longtime collaborator Hiro Murai. The trailer premiered during Childish Gambino’s PHAROS festival in New Zealand this weekend.
The upcoming movie is called Guava Island, Cuban magazine Vistar reported last August. A photo of Glover and Rihanna had surfaced, which lead to the report. The trailer’s credits bill the movie as “A Childish Gambino film.” Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie also star. Details for the new movie have been limited.
Murai has previously worked with Glover on his FX show Atlanta and Childish Gambino videos This is America and Sober.
