New York City production assistants sue Paramount Pictures for horrific set conditions.
Outside of background actors, production assistants are probably one of the most overworked and mistreated group of people on set of any movie or TV show.
That makes this next piece of news not that surprising.
According to TMZ, production assistants working on set of Paramount Pictures’ big budget movies, are now filing a class-action lawsuit against the movie studio.
Paramount Pictures is the movie studio that brought to you major motion pictures such as Transformers, Wolf of Wall Street, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Noah.
But, the studio is now in hot water after the way they treated their production assistants.
According to the lawsuit, production assistants claim they regularly worked 100 hours a week but never got overtime pay. In addition, they were told never to leave their assigned area to get food or use the bathroom. Some say that it was so bad they were forced to urinate and defecate into bottles and buckets in their cars.
