A Michael Jackson biopic is coming soon from ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ producer Graham King.
Graham King and the Michael Jackson estate have landed a deal for the artist’s life and music rights to develop a movie based on the singer’s life. According to Deadline, the movie will not be a “sanitized rendering of Jackson’s life.”
Screenwriter John Logan from ‘Gladiator’ and ‘The Aviator’ will write the script. The duo previously worked on Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Aviator’.
The news of the movie comes after HBO’s recent Emmy-winning documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’. The Michael Jackson estate sued the network for $100 million for airing the documentary without their consent. Despite the controversy surrounding the singer, there still a huge audience for his music and his story.
