Kristen Stewart’s New Movie Booed at Cannes Film Festival

Date:

Kristen Stewart’s new movie Personal Shopper was booed at Cannes premiere.

Kristen Stewart’s latest collaboration with director Olivier Assayas, Personal Shopper, was booed following the movie’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Apparently, Kristen Stewart’s new movie was the first movie to get booed during this year’s Cannes Film Festival and many movie critics hated it.

In the movie Personal Shopper, Kristen Stewart plays a personal shopper who talks to ghosts and is haunted by her dead twin sister.

Here are some of the movie’s reviews:

The movie’s director and Kristen Stewart responded by saying they are shrugging off the bad reviews. “When you come to Cannes you’re prepared,” Olivier Assayas told Variety. “You’re prepared for anything.” Assayas added: “Movies have a life of their own…people have expectations of a film and then the film is something else.” Kristen Stewart laughed it off . “Hey everyone did not boo.”

This is not the first time a movie was booed at during a movie premiere. In fact, Matthew McConaughey’s movie Sea of Trees was also booed following its Cannes debut last year.
