The request has now been made into a Change.org petition by these fans, who claim to have a good sense of humor. The petition is on its way to achieving its goal of 10,000 signatures after currently, 9,947 signed it. Ian Hinden, the fan who started the campaign, claims that the only reason why rerelease failed was that viewers were most likely “busy that weekend” on that particular weekend.

Despite the negative reviews that earned a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, fans are still interested in seeing the succeed at the box office, as shown by the petition. Hinden said, “If [Sony] were to once again release Morbius in theaters, just let us know, and we will be there for sure. Unless something comes up.” It remains to be seen whether or not Sony will release the second rerelease of Morbius in theaters.
