Michael Bay is creating a TV series about the Cocaine Cowboys.
The incredible tale of Miami’s cocaine trade in the 1980s is coming to TNT.
Cocaine Cowboys, a new TV series from the producers Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer is finally getting made with TNT.
The series will be based on the Bill Corben 2006 documentary of the same name, which explores the drug trade in Miami during the 1970s and 1980s. Showing how the law enforcement battled organized crime as cocaine became a hot commodity on the streets of Miami.
The TV series originally planned to air on HBO but was later purchased by TNT. This is not the last time Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay worked together. The two previously worked on hit movies such as Bad Boys and Armageddon.
The move continues TNT’s expansion into more drama series following this summer’s post-apocalyptic new drama The Last Ship.
