After several months of speculation, HBO has just confirmed the cast of HBO’s ‘True Detective’ Season 2.
‘True Detective’ will feature Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell. Additionally, Justin Lin will direct the first two episodes. According to reports, Season 2 will focus on three police officers and a career criminal navigating a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.
Colin Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, a detective whose allegiances are ripped apart between his corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him. Vince Vaughn will play Frank Semyon, a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his legitimate business comes into question by the murder of a fellow business partner.
It is also rumored that Rachel McAdams will join Season 2 of ‘True Detective’.
Filming for ‘True Detective’ will begin production later this fall in California.
Not everyone is happy about the casting decisions for Season 2. According to The Wrap, many fans believe that ‘True Detective’ will turn into ‘Miami Vice’ part 2. IN addition, many believe that Vince Vaughn can achieve the same amount of chemistry as Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson had in the past.
Maybe in the next season of True Detective, Colin Farrell & Vince Vaughn can solve the mystery of the missing female and non-white actors
