Channing Tatum says the ‘Magic Mike’ musical is still happening.
The booty shaking’ stage adaptation of ‘Magic Mike’ is still in the works. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 2012 smash hit starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey will apparently still have a stage version ready.
“It is still in the works,” Tatum admits. “We’re getting it going. Oddly enough, the second one lends itself more to the musical. I think our original idea was to do a prequel, like how Mike got in.”
The Broadway version of ‘Magic Mike’ will be written by Tatum, director Steven Soderbergh, and Reid Carolin. I’m sure this adaptation will have more a plot than the movie, or it will be a bunch of bodybuilders dancing for money!
