Disneyland Paris crew member found dead inside of a haunted house.
A Disneyland worker was found dead inside a Haunted House. An initial investigation inside the death of the Disney crew member shows the worker died of electrocution inside the haunted house amusement park ride.
According to reports, a maintenance worker was found dead inside of the Phantom Manor attraction at Disneyland Paris on Saturday. An initial investigation shows the man was electrocution and his death is currently being ruled accidental.
Apparently, the Disneyland crew member was working on a broken light fixture inside of the Phantom Manor haunted house when he was accidentally electrocuted.
The man that died was Patrick Maldidier, the Unsa union representative for Disney Paris. He was described as a “cheerful 45-year-old father from Noisy-le-grand, France.”
“He was very popular with his colleagues,” Maldidier told Le Parisien. “He was someone who always had a smile.”
Disney spokesperson told local French news outlets that company was “deeply saddened.”
“We send our thoughts to the family and relatives” of the deceased employee, it added.
It’s important to point out that this is not the first person to die inside the Disneyland Paris amusement park.
In fact, a cleaner in the park died six years ago when he fell and became trapped under a boat.
The Phantom Manor is described as a “fun-filled mystery” with “ghoulish ghosts and spirits.” The haunted house was closed for the weekend.
