‘Detective Pikachu’ Pokemon movie is coming soon – grab your Poke Balls.
Do you love Pikachu? How about Pokémon Go? If so, then I have good news for you. Legendary Entertainment has confirmed it caught a potentially huge pocket monster film franchise – the Pokémon series.
According to reports, the movie studio announced plans to shoot a live-action “Detective Pikachu,” which will star the franchise’s popular little yellow character. Universal will handle worldwide distribution across the world except Japan.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the movie will be based on the Detective Pikachu character from Nintendo’s Pokemon spin-off game of the same name, released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
This news comes after Nintendo’s stock skyrocketed after the release of Pokémon Go and reportedly earning as much as $1.6 million per day.
The new Pokémon movie is scheduled to start filming in 2017, which means casting directors are going to start casting and holding auditions for the lead roles in the new Pokémon movie.
