Chelsea Handler reveals the reason why she left ‘Chelsea Lately’

Chelsea Handler says she’s quitting ‘Chelsea Lately‘ because she wants to get away from the Kardashians.

In a recent interview with Joel McHale, Chelsea Handler revealed that she felt that it was a way to distance herself from the Kardashians.

Chelsea Handler is leaving the show and E! network for Netflix. Her final episode is expected to air on August 26th and will feature a live performance by Miley Cyrus.

Anyone watching ‘Chelsea Lately‘ could see that she hated the Kardashians. “Wouldn’t it be amazing, though, if I did leave and then the whole Kardashian empire just crumbled,” she said. “In some stroke of crazy irony and happenstance, all of a sudden they just fell apart and … then I was a national hero.”

Chelsea Handler will move to Netflix with a new series and several specials. The show won’t appear until 2016, but five comedy specials will debut on October 2016.
