Lil Wayne suffered multiple seizures and his plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
Lil Wayne has had a long history with seizures. “I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” Wayne, 33, told Los Angeles radio station Power 106 after a particularly severe attack back in 2013. “”This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures. Y’all just never hear about it. It got real bad because I got three [seizures] in a row, and on the third one my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent,” he said. “Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious.”
And it looks as though Lil Wayne’s seizure problems have not stopped. According to TMZ, Lil wayne was flying form Milwaukee to California when the first seizure happened. Wayne reportedly blacked out as the pilot performed an emergency landing in Omaha, Nebraska.
Paramedics met the plane but when it lander allegedly refused medical treatment. Shortly after taking off again, Lil Wayne suffered another seizure and the plane was forced to make another emergency landing, according to TMZ.
Now, according to reports, the seizures are caused by drinking large amounts of lean. TMZ has reported that a large amount of lean caused the health scare.
According to TMZ, Weezy was seen “cruising around with five 16 oz bottles” of the drink—a cocktail of promethazine and codeine syrup—at a nightclub in Milwaukee over the past weekend. One witness purported that the performer drank at least three bottles “just by himself.”
Wayne was hospitalized in Omaha, Nebraska after suffering multiple seizures aboard his private jet … prompting 2 emergency landings.
Wayne previously said he doesn’t sip lean anymore because of his history with seizures and epilepsy[.]
