Racist ‘Ghostbusters’ Fans Tweet Hate Speech to Leslie Jones

Date:

Fans of Ghostbusters sent racist jokes to Leslie Jones.

Fans of the new Ghostbusters reboot took to Twitter to share racist and hate speech to Leslie Jones, the leading actress in the new ghost comedy. And apparently, it’s personally affecting Jones.

She took to Twitter to address the comments by saying “I feel like I’m in a personal hell. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. It’s just too much. It shouldn’t be like this. So hurt right now.”

Jones added, “As much as you want to thinks actors ain’t human I want to give you something to think about. I work off pure passion for this game.”

Since then, fans and the movie’s director Paul Feig took to Twitter to defend Leslie Jones.

It appears as though, social media tends to bring out the absolute WORST in human behavior and mean-spirited comments. However, this is not the first time Leslie Jones received some kind of backlash after starring in the Ghostbusters movie. Leslie Jones revealed fashion designers didn’t want to dress her for the Ghostbusters premiere. Jones tweeted out saying, “It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything”

Jones maybe having her biggest year yet but, all of this fame is definitely coming at a price.
