Coronavirus: Jackie Chans Urges the World to “Stay At Home”

Date:

Jackie Chan is telling people to stay strong during the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

The action movie star, 65, shared a video on social media on Friday. He said while it is a difficult time for millions of people, we are all facing the challenges together. So follow the guidelines to keep you and everyone safe.

“I know it’s a very difficult time for everyone right now,” the star said in the social media post. “We all face the same problem: the coronavirus. It’s very important to stay at home with your family and follow the rules of your government. If you have to go out, please remember to wear your face mask and wash your hands frequently. Protecting yourself is protecting your family.”

The actor ended the video by saying, ”Stay safe, stay strong. I truly believe we have a brighter future ahead.”

A large number of celebrities have released statements urging people to follow guidelines as the coronavirus continues to spread.

In relevant news, the leader of a Pentecostal megachurch in Tampa Bay, Rodney Howard-Browne, was arrested after holding large church services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

On March 30, the Hillsborough County Sheriff announced he had got an arrest warrant for the pastor’s arrest, and an hour later, Howard-Browne was booked in Hernando County Detention Center.

According to reports, Howard-Browne wrote off the threat of the Coronavirus. During a sermon two weeks ago, he told River at Tampa church members the church will remain open, and he also encouraged church members to shake hands.

In a clip from Right Wing Watch’s social media, Howard-Browne says the “church will never close.” He adds, “The only time the church is closed is when the rapture is taking place.”
