Size 2 Actress Told She’s Too Fat for Hollywood

Date:

Pretty Little Liars star, Ashley Benson says she’s been called “too fat” by Hollywood executives, casting directors and producers.

“I was just told I was too fat for a part,” Benson tells Ocean Drive magazine.

“I’m a size 2! I cried for 30 minutes, but then you have to let it roll off your shoulders or it could cause a serious eating disorder. A lot of people in this industry hear they need to lose weight more times than they should.”

Adding, “It does make you stronger, though. Because if you let that affect you. You can’t be in this industry—you’d go crazy.

The award winning actress has worked on some of Hollywood’s biggest movies including Pretty Little Liars, Spring Breakers and even Family Guy. In fact, in 2012, Benson was cast in the film Spring Breakers, after Emma Roberts dropped out due to creative reasons. The movie centers on four college students who are arrested and bailed out by a drug and arms dealer, who sends them out to do some dirty work on spring break.
