Caitlyn Jenner is the new ambassador to MAC Cosmetics.
Caitlyn Jenner has transformed the entertainment industry. Nearly everyone is talking about Caitlyn Jenner. In fact, South Park spent their latest season poking fun of the Olympic athlete. And you know you’ve made it when South Park is talking about you.
So, the next piece of news should not come as much of a surprise. MAC Cosmetics has signed a deal with Caitlyn Jenner to become the new face of the make-up line.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
MAC announced Friday that the reality TV star has teamed up with the makeup label for a new MAC lipstick called “Finally Free” in a rosy nude shade. According to Jenner, she chose the name because “I wanted a name that I use, and which represents the community. This is who I am: Finally Free.”
According to reports, every purchase made on the #MACCAITLYNJENNR lipstick, will go to the MAC AIDS Fun Transgender Initiative, which supports the transgender communities.
But, why would MAC Cosmetics work with Caitlyn Jenner, motivational speaker turned reality star? Well, outside of the obvious reasons (money), MAC Cosmetics wanted to give back to the trans community.
“Before I came out, the impression I had of MAC was, ‘That’s quality; that’s the good stuff.’ Not only is it the good stuff, but MAC also has the willingness corporately to use its reach to make a difference, to change people’s minds,” said Jenner. “To help raise funds for HIV and AIDS, and in our case, for trans issues.”
You can buy the Caitlyn Jenner lipstick for $17.
