You can run and you can hide but, Caitlyn Jenner isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. According to reports, ‘I Am Cait’ is the number one unscripted cable TV series of 2015.
According to Nielsen “live plus-3? estimates, “I Am Cait” last Sunday averaged a 1.78 rating in 18-49 and 3.892 million viewers overall — up 54% and 42%, respectively, from its “live plus same-day” numbers reported earlier in the week. “Cait” ranked No. 11 among all broadcast and cable primetime series for the week in the 18-49 demo.
A lot of this can be credited to Caitlyn Jenner’s secret PR strategy whereby, Caitlyn Jenner hired the world-famous publicist Alan Nierob to promote Caitlyn Jenner’s transformation. The marketing campaign all started when Alan Nierob reached out to Diane Sawyer for an exclusive interview. He knew it had to be a serious reporter to dispel any suggestion that was a publicity stunt. The interview would later bring in 17 million viewers.
Essentially, the marketing and public relations for Caitlyn Jenner has been damn near perfect. A team of make up artists, hairstylists and publicists turned the rejected cast member of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ to probably what most will call the most inspiring, and the most successful reality star of our generation.
