Marvel Studios has dropped the trailer for ‘Black Widow’.
Marking the first chapter of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4, the anticipation surrounding the new movie is pretty high. Since this is the first Black Widow solo movie, the prequel will feature the character’s rise, starred by Scarlett Johansson, in becoming an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and ultimately an Avenger. The trailer starts with dialogue from ‘Avengers: Endgame’ where Natasha Romanoff tells Captain America, “I used to have nothing, then I got this job, this family. I was better because of it. I’ve made mistakes, I can’t go back.”
The trailer also features scenes from past Marvel movies in the beloved franchise as well as David Harbour’s Red Guardian character and Florence Pugh as another assassin named Yelena Belova who also used Black Widow name, fighting Romanoff. We also have a chance to look at Rachel Weisz’s Red Room trainer Melina, who is rumored to be the movie’s villain. The movie’s filming locations from London to Morocco can also be seen in the trailer.
‘Black Widow’ movie takes place during the Captain America: Civil War’ and hits theaters on May 1, 2020.
Robert Downey Jr’s character is also reported to appear in the movie. While Marvel has yet to confirm the news, it is still unknown if Downey Jr.’s appearance will appear from unknown footage from previous movies, or if the actor will be filming new scenes. Black Widow made her first debut in ‘Iron Man 2’.
