Couples meeting on the ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’ typically stay together for less than a year before eventually breaking up
During this week’s ‘Bachelorette’ season finale, Kaitlyn Bristowe chose Shawn Booth as the winner and excitedly accepted his marriage proposal. The couple then visited ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, where the host poked fun at the ‘Bachelor’ franchise’s record for creating short and meaningless relationships and a pledge for the couples to stay together for at least a year.
Bristowe and her fiancé promised, if they’re no longer in a committed relationship as of July 27, 2016, they’ll pay Kimmel $1,000.
Well according to Fusion.net, looking at the past 29 season of ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’, the average relationship only lasts about six months after the season finale airs.
