Hello, dino-lovers! If, like me, you’ve always had a flair for prehistoric creatures and epic adventure films, then, bingo! You have some thrilling news coming your way. Remember the famous Jurassic Park and World movies that made us clench our seats in the theaters? Well, here’s something exciting for you. The studio that brought us these magnificent movies, Universal Pictures, announced that they’re developing a brand new Jurassic movie – and it’s already on the fast track to production. Cool, right?

To pump up the excitement further, the screenplay is written by none other than the original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp. Picture this, the guy who made us believe that dinosaurs could actually exist in our world is back in the writing room, working his magic again. And, to add a cherry on top, the director’s chair is claimed by Gareth Edwards, the brilliant mind behind the Godzilla movie. So, fasten your seatbelts guys, as we are all set to dive into a new Jurassic era!

Now, here’s where a bit of curiosity comes into play. We don’t actually have an official title for this new Jurassic movie yet. However, recent trademark filings hint at a possible title – “Jurassic World: Rebirth”. Amblin Entertainment, the production company involved, filed to trademark this name for several products. So, we might just be looking at the rebirth of the Jurassic World!

The script, as reported by Variety, embarks on a fresh take, pushing us in a whole new direction of the Jurassic era. It centers around three adults and three teens who find themselves stranded on the Island – sounds thrilling and adventurous, right? And, there’s a wee bit of a plot twist. This new Jurassic World adventure isn’t featuring any previous lead characters from the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movies. So, the term ‘Rebirth’ seems a perfect fit for this new journey.

Instead, the movie casts a new shiny set of actors. The new characters are set to be played by the likes of Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, all given roles directly. So, it’s indeed hard to keep our expectations at bay considering the star-studded cast. Luna Blaise, an actress from the series Manifest, also joins the cast after reportedly beating a host of actors for her role.

However, there’s been one declined role offer. Yep, Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell was initially offered a role but chose to turn it down. He felt his presence in the movie wouldn’t help it, though he passed on compliments for the “great” script.

Overall, the movie seems to be in good hands with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley serving as producers under the Kennedy/Marshall banner. Joining them is the legend himself, Steven Spielberg, as executive producer through Amblin Entertainment. Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell from Universal will oversee the project.

While we wait with baited breath for the official title and more details, the excitement is palpable. Until then, doodle a few dinos, rewatch your favorite Jurassic moments and let’s anticipate the rebirth of the Jurassic World in July 2025. So, what do you think about this possible “Jurassic World: Rebirth” title? Share your thoughts with us, we’d love to hear your take!
