‘Ted 2‘ is ramping up production for the new sequel and casting directors are holding an open casting call for extras in Boston, Massachusetts.
Seth MacFarlane will return as writer, director and co-star of “Ted 2,” Universal and Media Rights Capital’s sequel to the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time.
Sitting down with IGN for Transformers 4, Mark Wahlberg let a few details slip about the plot of Ted 2. He admits that John has not settled down at all since the last film, saying. “That wouldn’t be any fun. No, no, no, they’re crazier than ever.”
According to OLV, a barn is being built in Ipswich, Mass. to be used in Ted 2, which will film in the Ipswich/Hamilton area at the end of August. As for the Boston area, the site reports that Mark Wahlberg and the crew will be filming in town in July.
On July 8, Seth MacFarlane tweeted out a message gearing up for the start of the film’s production:

The call is open to all SAG-AFTRA and non-union extras who are 18-years-old and older. The open call for “Ted 2” will be held at the Boston Casting office at 129 Braintree Street in Allston.
In addition, the agency is looking for comic book movie fans with awesome costumes who are willing to dress up for an audition, however, it won’t be for a spot in the “Ted” sequel.
