The production team is currently looking for background talent to play the role of Folsom Prison inmates in a music video that’s set to be filmed on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, TN.
The casting call is open to male actors of all ethnicities, between the ages of 20 and 80, and of various types. While tattoos are allowed, there are a few restrictions – no unnatural hair colors or visible piercings are allowed. The music video is a period piece, recreating the iconic video/performance of Johnny Cash’s ‘Folsom Prison Blues.’ If you have a passion for acting and want to be part of a unique production, this could be your chance to showcase your skills.
Please note that transportation to and from the location and accommodation will not be provided, so make sure to use your GPS to ensure you can get to the location and work as a local hire. The rate for the role is $100 for up to 6 hours of work, with overtime paid if filming goes over 6 hours. Payment will be made at the end of the filming day.
Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary is approximately 2.5 hours east of Nashville, TN, and about 1 hour west of Knoxville.
