Casting directors are now seeking child talent to play the lead roles (younger version) in the upcoming feature film ‘The Sound and The Fury” directed by James Franco (Oz).

Morgan Casting recently posted a casting call on Facebook seeking local kids from the Mississippi for a second (test shoot) for the feature film, filming in Jackson, Mississippi.

The second open casting call will be this Saturday August 24, in Canton, Mississippi.

Recently, the Madison County Journal reported on the first casting call.

“Parents and children were all smiles as they lined up for auditions Saturday in Canton for the casting call. “My goal was to bring in as many kids as possible, no matter what they looked like. Then, from the best performers, try to find the best look for that actor whose younger self they were portraying,” said Morgan. Franco even stopped by Sunday for the callbacks for those children whose auditions made the cut. Casting calls will be held in Canton, Mississippi on Saturday August 17th.”

Now, casting directors are holding a second round of open casting calls for speaking roles.

According to Cinema Blend, the film will center on William Faulkner’s novel ‘The Sound and The Fury’. “Faulkner’s novel is a multi-narrative Southern Gothic tale about the Compson family told from four different perspectives, one of which is the mentally deficient Benny. The story and its subsequent appendix cover many years in the family’s life, detailing their financial and social ruin.”

There will be an open casting call until 3pm. Still interested?
