HBO is now casting three speaking roles for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel
The final season of Game of Thrones airs this April 2019. HBO is now filming a pilot for a Game of Thrones prequel series set during the Age of Heroes, which is thousands of years before the events of the main show. It has already cast many lead roles, including Namoi Watts and Josh Whitehouse. Now, according to Watchers on the Wall, HBO is now casting several new speaking roles for the series.
Casting directors are looking for twins, aged 23-29, to play sisters. HBO is also looking for a “genuine Scandinavian, Eastern European or German actor” to play a man in his ’70s. According to reprints, Game of Thrones, actors of that description have often performed wildlings, while this is just speculation.
At this time we do not know if these characters are lead roles, recurring roles or just day-player roles for the pilot. We should have more news as early as February 2019.
