Julie Harkin Casting, the casting team behind hit shows such as ‘I MAY DESTROY YOU’, ‘MISFITS’, ‘INDUSTRY’, and ‘UTOPIA’ and are seeking a Casting Assistant to join their busy office.
No previous casting experience is necessary, but applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Meticulous attention to detail, with strong admin skills.
- Clear telephone manner and confident communicator.

- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a creative, fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position, subject to the successful competition of a probationary period.

Casting Assistant Responsibilities
Working as a casting assistant can be an enriching experience. You will be responsible for helping cast actors and actresses in various roles, and you will also get to work closely with other production team members. To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are organized and efficient and that you have a good understanding of the film or television show that you are working on.
Some of your responsibilities as a casting assistant may include:
– liaising with agents and managers to schedule auditions
– attending auditions and taking notes on the actors’ performances
– maintaining up-to-date records of all the actors who have been seen for each role
– preparing meeting materials for the casting director and producers
– helping to narrow down the list of actors being considered for each role
