Are you an aspiring writer? Disney is now looking for aspiring writers

Do you know of any aspiring writers? Have you ever dreamed of working with and for Disney? If so, then I have the program for you.

Calling all storytellers – for over 20 years, the Disney ABC writing program has been one of the most successful programs for writers in the entertainment and film industry. The program is one year along and is sanctioned by the Writers Guild of America, West.

The program has launched the careers of many writers who went on to work on hit TV shows such as:

  • Mad Men
  • Once Upon a Time
  • Psych
  • Chicago Fire
  • Breaking Bad
  • The Killing

Created in 1990, the Disney ABC writing program is based out of Los Angeles, California and is one of the most recognized industry programs in the world.

Writers who are selected become employees of Disney-ABC television group also known as DATG and will be paid a weekly salary of $961.54 plus benefits. The one-year program allows writers to earn $50,000 for the year. The one-year program starts in February and ends in February the following year.

Ultimately, the goal is to develop writers to become Disney staff writers. However, it is important that employment is not guaranteed.

The program also provides writers work access to network executives, producers, and representatives. writers will also be able to attend various meetings and events designed to build relationships that can help build their TV writing career.

In the first month, writers participate in lessons to help prepare them to become better writers.

WRITERS: Apply now! The 2021 Walt Disney Television Writing Program application is live. The deadline is June 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
