Casting Directors are now casting for BET’s “Being Mary Jane” starring Gabrielle Union.
BET is ramping up 2013 with a bang! This year they are working with the amazingly talented producers that brought you the hit BET comedy The Game. Now casting directors are seeking actors to fill various roles in the upcoming new television series.
“Being Mary Jane” centers on the story that BET believes “millions of modern women will both relate and respond.”
Starring in “Being Mary Jane” is Gabrielle Union as she plays Mary Jane Paul. BET describes her character as “Mary Jane Paul is a one-woman show: a successful TV news anchor, entirely self-sufficient — an all-around powerhouse who remains devoted to a family that doesn’t share her motivation. As Mary Jane juggles her life, her work and her commitment to her family, we find out how far she’s willing to go to find the puzzle pieces that she, and society, insist are missing from her life as a single Black female (BET).”
