Ghostbusters 3 chooses a director and writer and will feature “hilarious women”
Production for the new Ghostbusters movie is ramping up and it will feature a cast of hilarious women.
Rumors circulated the air that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig was going to direct a female-led Ghostbuster 3 movie. Yesterday, Paul Feig confirmed on Twitter that it’s really happening.
It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.

The writer of Parks and Recreation and The Heat, Katie Dippold will co-write Ghostbusters 3 and it is expected that it will feature a cast of “hilarious women”.
Bill Murray was recently interviewed and was asked who should star in Ghostbusters 3. Murray suggested Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Emma Stone. Emma Stone said that she was not interested in working on the sequel. However, this was prior to Paul Feig and and Katie Dippold joined the production.
It is also rumored that Dan Aykroyd and the original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman will be involved with the new film, but expect them to only work as producers.
