Here’s the new trailer for Season 5 of Homeland
Two months ago, Showtime released a teaser trailer for the upcoming fifth season of their hit TV series, Homeland. With little less than a month until new episodes premiere on the network, a new trailer has been released. As previously reported, the new season will jump ahead two years and find Carrie Mathison working as a private contractor in Germany. Of course, the unstable ex-government employee gets sucked into CIA’s drama when an espionage scenario goes wrong.
Showtime’s spy thriller hasn’t really felt the same since Damian Lewis was a regular on the show. Lewis, whose new series Billions is currently filming in New York City, was a pretty interesting character playing Brody a heroic veteran who was also a terrorist.
Either way, millions of viewers are still tuning in to see what happens next. This, right here, is why a time jump and change of location may work for the series to seperate the series from its Damian Lewis past.
Apparently, the storylines in the new season of Homeland will be based on current events like that of ISIS and the Charlie Hebdo attacks that shocked the world last year.
Homeland returns to Showtime on October 4th.
