The Gaffer will work alongside the Director of Photography to execute the lighting approach and help create a polished, professional look for the scene. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in executing the production’s lighting setup.
- Work closely with the Director of Photography on the desired visual look.
- Set up, adjust, and manage lighting equipment during filming.
- Help maintain lighting continuity between shots.
- Follow technical and creative direction from the production team.
Requirements
- Experience with film lighting or as a Gaffer preferred.
- Submit relevant work samples or a reel.
- Include available lighting equipment if applicable.
- Non-union production.

Job Description
A production team is urgently hiring a local Gaffer for an upcoming corporate documentary-style production in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona area. The shoot is scheduled for August 12 or August 13, pending final confirmation. The selected Gaffer will work with the production team to support the lighting needs of the shoot and help maintain an efficient professional set.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle lighting-related responsibilities for the production
- Assist with setting up and managing lighting equipment
- Work with the production and camera departments
- Make lighting adjustments as required during filming
- Follow production schedules and on-set instructions
