Job Responsibilities

Male Narrator for Historical Museum Documentary

Job Description

A paid non-union documentary is seeking a male actor to portray a modern-day narrator for a historical film produced for the Hampton History Museum in Hampton, Virginia. This 30-minute documentary explores the events surrounding the Battle of Hampton and the lives of Patriots, Loyalists, and civilians during the American Revolution. The ideal performer will deliver historical narration in a relatable, conversational style while bringing authenticity and emotional depth to the story.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as the lead modern-day narrator in a historical documentary.
• Deliver scripted narration in a natural and engaging conversational style.
• Memorize dialogue and perform confidently on camera.
• Collaborate with the director to achieve an authentic performance.
• Participate in one scheduled filming day.

Requirements

• Male, ages 20–30s.
• Open to all ethnicities.
• Strong on-camera presence and storytelling ability.
• Comfortable memorizing scripted dialogue for the audition and filming.
• Able to deliver historical material with warmth, clarity, and authenticity.
• Available to film in Hampton, Virginia.

Compensation
