Jones & Juliet Casting is seeking women nationwide who are living with Lipedema to participate in an upcoming documentary produced by an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker in association with the Lipedema Foundation. The project aims to raise awareness about Lipedema and provide a platform for women at all stages of the condition to share their experiences and perspectives. Filming will follow a minimally intrusive documentary approach, allowing participants to share only what they feel comfortable discussing. No previous on-camera experience is necessary. Production is planned for January 2027, with filming scheduled around selected participants’ availability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in a documentary focused on raising awareness about Lipedema.
  • Share personal experiences and perspectives about living with the condition, within individual comfort levels.
  • Take part in documentary-style filming and conversations with the production team.
  • Help provide an authentic perspective on the experiences of women living with Lipedema.
  • Coordinate filming availability with the production team during January 2027.

Requirements

  • Women living with Lipedema at any stage of the condition.
  • Open to applicants nationwide.
  • Must be comfortable participating in a documentary and sharing personal experiences to the extent they choose.
  • Must be available for filming during January 2027, with scheduling arranged around individual availability.

Compensation

Black Love Matters is seeking Black couples of all ages for an upcoming short documentary film series celebrating love, relationships, and meaningful connections. This documentary casting opportunity invites real couples to share their authentic love stories, including the joys, challenges, sacrifices, forgiveness, and personal growth that shape their relationships. Selected couples will be featured in “Black Love Matters: A Valentine’s Day Exhibit,” a creative project dedicated to documenting and preserving stories of Black love, intimacy, and partnership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate as a real couple in the “Black Love Matters” short documentary film series.
  • Share authentic experiences and personal stories about love, relationships, and partnership.
  • Engage in honest conversations about relationship milestones, challenges, growth, and meaningful moments.
  • Discuss personal experiences involving communication, forgiveness, intimacy, and commitment.
  • Participate in documentary filming and interviews with the creative production team.
  • Help showcase the beauty, complexity, and authenticity of Black relationships.
  • Contribute to a documentary project celebrating Black love and connection.
