The 10-year-old child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and a suspect was arrested outside of a Walt Disney concert hall.
According to reports, a 10-year-old boy was stabbed by a man who first grabbed him around the neck in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday. The report suggest that it took place during the late afternoon in the area of South Grand Avenue and West 1st Street.
The suspect, who was arrested and described by police as a homeless man, may have used keys to stab the child. The boy suffered only minor scratches, but no life-threatening injuries.
This news comes as the mayor Los Angeles called for a state of emergency due to the large number of homeless people in L.A. and another previous stabbing incident outside of Disneyland earlier this year.
