Job Responsibilities
- Design and execute lighting setups for film production
- Work closely with the director and cinematographer to achieve the desired visual style
- Manage lighting equipment and ensure proper setup for each scene
- Handle outdoor lighting challenges using appropriate diffusion techniques
- Maintain safety standards while operating lighting gear
Requirements
- Proven experience with film lighting
- Must own or have access to lighting and diffusion equipment suitable for outdoor shoots
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques and on-set workflows
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Compensation
- Paid: $300 for 2 days (self-funded project)

A student short film is seeking a Gaffer for a one-day shoot taking place on April 11, 2026. The production is looking for a reliable and experienced lighting technician to support the director’s vision and ensure high-quality lighting on set.
Job Responsibilities

- Manage lighting equipment and ensure proper setup
- Maintain safe and efficient on-set lighting practices
Requirements
- Experience working as a gaffer or in lighting roles
- Must be local to Philadelphia or able to work as a local hire
- Ability to provide your own gear (gear list required)
- Resume and reel required
- Professional and reliable with strong on-set communication
Compensation
- $150 (negotiable)
