Looking for a Job? Skype is Now Hiring Filmmakers

Skype holds film competition for aspiring filmmakers.

Skype is one of the biggest communication platforms in the world. It has revolutionized the way people connect around the world. Now, the Microsoft company is looking for aspiring filmmakers, content creators, and creatives to pitch a documentary, reality show, short film or feature film their their film competition.

Winners of the Skype film competition will receive $20,000 to create their idea. “Fantasy worlds, a thought provoking documentary or maybe a spin on the reality show? We’re on the lookout for an idea that’s creative, innovative and inclusive – all the values that Skype embodies.”

All you have to do is incorporate Skype into your film idea. “Skype needs be included in the show itself. That’s not to say we want to advertise it in your film, just include it as part of the format, or highlight how our technology helps communication.”

How do you submit?

Upload both:
a) 30 – 60 second pitch, or trailer, showcasing your idea
b) a business plan outlining the feasibility of getting your idea made.
Use either Skype, Onedrive or the upload tool on this website

* Must be 18+. Entry Deadline is Monday June 27th. By submitting your entry
you are agreeing to the Official Rules of the competition

* The winning entry will be revealed on the week commencing June 27th, 2016
