Wedding Video Editor Casting Call for Remote Post-Production

Hiring a skilled, experienced Wedding Video Editor to join its post-production team on a project-based, fully remote basis. This role is for editors who can confidently cut cinematic wedding films from start to finish—with strong storytelling, pacing, emotion, and music sense. Editors will work on a steady flow of wedding projects when available, with higher priority and volume going to the most consistent and reliable collaborators.
Job Responsibilities
- Edit cinematic wedding films from raw footage through final deliverables.
- Create multiple deliverables per project, which may include:
- Teaser (~1 minute)
- Highlight film (6–10 minutes)
- Documentary edit (10–40 minutes; vows + speeches)
- IG-ready assets (e.g., carousel layouts pulled from footage/stills)
- Perform basic-to-polished color work for natural, cinematic looks.
- Select music and cut with emotional pacing and strong story structure.
- Manage deadlines and communicate timelines clearly (including when extended timelines are needed).
- Stay organized while handling multiple projects and maintaining consistent quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience editing cinematic wedding films (not beginner-level).
- Strong storytelling ability, pacing, emotion, and music sensitivity.
- Tasteful editing style (avoid overly flashy or dated effects).
- Confident with color grading for natural, cinematic results.
- Reliable editing setup capable of handling 4K video smoothly.
- Clear, consistent communication and responsiveness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Prior wedding editing experience is a major plus.
Compensation Details
- $250–$475 per project (varies by project type and number of films per project)
- Potential earnings up to $2,000/month for editors completing ~8 projects/month
- Initial probation/trial period for new editors
- During peak season, editors delivering high quality and reliability may receive more than 8 projects/month with additional pay
