Job Description: Central Casting New York is seeking individuals of all ages, genders, and ethnicities to participate as paid background actors in an upcoming Spike Lee film. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside professional filmmaking staff and to gain on-set experience in a production environment. No acting experience is necessary, and there are no fees required to participate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time at the designated location and be prepared to follow instructions from the director or assistant director.
- Act in the background of various scenes, following the direction for movement, actions, and positioning as required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor on set at all times, understanding that silence and stillness may often be required.
- Be prepared for possible wardrobe changes or makeup application as directed by the costume and makeup departments.
- Remain available on set for the duration of the shoot or as directed by the production team.
Requirements:
- Must complete the required paperwork ahead of the open call by creating a new login at centralcasting.com/login.
- Must provide valid identification and work authorization documents as per the I-9 form requirements (centralcasting.com/I-9-documentation).
- Minors must have a current VALID PHOTO ID from the List of Acceptable Documents and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with appropriate documentation.
- Must be able to follow directions and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible with scheduling and potential long hours on set.
Compensation:
Compensation details for the role of background actor will be discussed upon successful application and at the casting call. Central Casting ensures fair compensation in accordance with industry standards.
